FALL GUYS X FORTNITE

Fall guys x Fortnite is coming soon

Quarter 2 (April - June) - COMPLETE

Personalized Discovery
Shifting to discover to reflect the taste of players who have opted into personalization. Makes your discover experience personal to you.
Spatial Profiler
Provides the tools needed to understand and improve the performance of a project. Since Fortnite runs on many platforms, knowing specific metrics for a project means that you can make any necessary adjustments to ensure smooth performance across your UEFN experiences.
Notes in Unreal Revision Control
To bring collaborative feedback and iteration workflows deeper into the editor, we’ve added Notes as a new tool to Unreal Revision Control (URC) in UEFN. With it, you can capture feedback and action items from your real-time collaborators directly in your viewport.

Notes are saved with key contextual data, including camera location and orientation, coordinates, your current URC snapshot, and an image of the state of the viewport at the time of creation. You also can add attachments, including additional screenshots, actors, and external reference images, to any note to provide as much information as possible for your teammates.
Scene Graph (Experimental)
An entity and component framework that enables you to dynamically manipulate objects in your game. The system is designed to be simple to learn and use, while being powerful enough to eventually create AAA game content.
Prefab Template
A hands on example that demonstrates use of Scene Graph Entities, Components to construct Prefabs that become the building block of a modular environment.
BIG INFLATABLE DEATHRUN
Can you beat the BIG Inflatable Deathrun?
Fun and Wacky obstacles await you and your friends!
Why not try a speed run and try to get on the BIG Leaderboard!

Quarter 3 (July - September)

Improved Analytics
Offering deeper analytical data context on island engagement, monetization, and performance.
Personalized Discover: New & Updated Content
- Personalized new content testing: testing new and updated games with audiences that resonate with that content
- Continued improvements to recommendation model speed and accuracy
Shader Complexity View
Shader Complexity Mode is used to visualize the number of shader instructions being used to calculate each pixel of your scene. It is generally a good indication of how performance-friendly your scene will be. In general, it is used to test overall performance for your base scene, as well as to optimize particle effects, which tend to cause performance spikes with a large amount of overdraw for a short period of time.

The view mode uses a color spectrum to indicate how expensive the scene is. Green through red represent a linear relationship of "very inexpensive" to "expensive", while pink and white indicate a large jump to "very expensive" pixels.
Stat Creator
This device creates a minigame stat (similar to Eliminations, Score, Objectives, etc) that can optionally show on the HUD. The Stat Counter and Stat Powerup devices can manipulate and query this stat. These can then be shown on the scoreboard and used for minigame end and win conditions.
Creator Profile Device
The creator profile link is an in game device to help players connect with creators outside the game. Players will be able to scan a QR code in game to open creator profiles and get directed to other island or social links associated with creators’ profiles.
Patchwork Song Sync Device
Use the Patchwork audio system to control the timing of Sequencer audio and imported MIDI files, making for easier, more reliable synchronization of your sound and game events when creating concerts or musical gameplay experiences.
Orbit Camera Improvements
Several quality of life behaviors are being added to the Orbit Camera. These behaviors make exploration more natural, as the camera automatically pulls in behind the player while running around and exploring.
Side Scroller Control Device
Designed with nostalgic experiences in mind, the Side Scroller Control Mode manages the characters facing and movement. Device properties manage the path the character is locked to, along with a set of ranged targeting rules.
Orthographic Camera
The Fixed Point and Fixed Angle Cameras have a new set of “orthographic” camera options. These options allow to create more traditional 2D experiences, rendering a flattened scene without depth.
Day Sequence Device and Time of Day Manager
Fortnite Creative is receiving the following updates to get in parity with UEFN:

- Lumen
- New Time of Day Manager inline with the lighting system in Fortnite - Battle Royale Ch5
- Day Sequence Device
- An Island Settings option to opt-in to use this new system
UEFN available during downtime
During a Fortnite downtime, creators would be able to login to UEFN to continue editing and maintaining their project. Some services will be unavailable during a downtime but the Editor will remain launchable in this state.
Level Building Templates
A group of templates to teach basics in UEFN and expand on level building skills for aspiring Level designers.

- Intro to UEFN
- Greyboxing
- Landscape
- Materials
- Modeling Tools
Fall Guys Templates
The Fall Guys will be available in both Fortnite Creative and Unreal Editor for Fortnite! Creators can create their own Fall Guys experiences using the unique, platforming focused Fall Guys 'Bean' character as well as a selection of Fall Guys themed assets. There are five basic islands to choose from, including one Starter Island which has a simple example of a Fall Guys course, plus three empty grid islands of different sizes and one empty tropical island. Using these islands will allow you to access the Fall Guys content which includes many of the devices and tools creators in FNC and UEFN are used to, but now compatible with the Fall Guys Bean. Players using a Bean will also see many of their Fortnite skins converted to Fall Guys variant outfits.
Village Template
A template of the Village Map that can be used as a starting point for a new project. Use this to create your own spin on Village, or expand on it to create something entirely new. Content includes:

- The entirety of the village map
- Art for Conversation UI
- Custom VFX

The Empty Village map includes the following areas:

- Mines
- Homestead
- Forest
- Village
- Museum interior
- Homestead interiors
- Preplaced Customizable - Cameras and Volumes
Talisman Templates
The Talisman: MetaHuman and Talisman: Environment templates showcase realistic, high-fidelity assets that are optimized for performance and memory in UEFN. In the MetaHuman template, learn about optimizing MetaHumans and cloth simulation, and in the Environment template you can check out the Talisman ship and view all the props, lighting, walls and more in the Talisman Asset Art Gallery level.

Quarter 4 (October -December)
